Last week, 22-year-old Yitzhak Gabai was sentenced to a total of three years in prison – 24 months for arson, two months for illegal possession of a knife, and 10 months for incitement to violence – for his role in the November 2014 hate crime arson of the Jerusalem Max Rayne Hand-in-Hand Jewish-Arab school, the Jerusalem Post reported.
Two brothers, 20-year-old Shlomo Rachamim Twito and 18-year-old Nachman Twito, previously were convicted for their roles in the arson and were sentenced, Nachman Rachamim to 2 years in prison and Shlomo to 2-1/2 years.
The Twitos and Gabai left graffiti at the site of the arson reading, “There is no coexistence with cancer,” “Death to Arabs” and “Kahane was right.”
The three men, all from Sefardi haredi families, are linked to the Rabbi Meir Kahane-inspired anti-miscegenation Lehava organization.
