Monsey Man Arrested In New Jersey For Robbery, Heroin Possession

A 21-year-old Monsey man has been arrested on robbery and heroin possession charges, the Journal News reported.
David Mizrachi allegedly robbed a Gulf gas station convenience store on Route 17 Gulf in Mahwah, New Jersey, of $100 at 7:00 pm Friday night.
Mizrachi allegedly hid items from the store on his person and then placed other items on the counter along with a bottle of water and a $100 bill.
When the store manager questioned him about the items concealed on his person, Mizrachi took those items from his pocket along with with “wax folds” thought to contain heroin.
Mizrachi then allegedly pushed the store manager, grabbed the $100 bill, and left the store.
The manager followed him and “Mizrachi punched the manager before running off to [a neighboring] McDonald's," Mahwah Chief of Police James Batelli reportedly said.
Shortly afterward, three Mahwah police officers found Mizrachi at the McDonald’s leaving a bathroom. The allegedly found 124 wax folds of suspected heroin and a hypodermic needle.
Mizrachi was charged with robbery, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was reportedly ordered held in the Bergen County jail. He bail was set at $120,000.
