Michele Bachmann, the former Minnesota congresswoman and Republican presidential candidate, just returned from a visit to Israel. While on that visit Bachmann decided the proper response to the recent increase in Palestinian terrorism is to convert more people – specifically including Jewish people – to fundamentalist Christianity.
Bachmann was in Israel last week on a group tour sponsored by the fundamentalist Family Research Council. While there, Bachmann was a guest on the Washington Watch radio program hosted by the Council’s president, Tony Perkins, and she called for mass conversions of Jews, according to audio of the show posted by Right Wing Watch.
“We recognize the shortness of the hour, and that’s why we as a remnant want to be faithful in these days and do what it is that the Holy Spirit is speaking to each one of us, to be faithful in the Kingdom [of Christ] and to help bring in as many as we can — even among the Jews — [we must] share Jesus Christ with everyone that we possibly can because, again, He’s [Jesus is] coming soon,” Bachmann said.
