The campaign – which is reportedly being funded and organized by the Satmar hasidic sect which largely makes up the membership of Torah True Jews – is meant to tell potential Palestinian terrorists that they should not murder haredim because haredim are anti-Zionist and do not visit the Temple Mount.

The vehemently anti-Zionist haredi Natruna - True Torah Jews organization, an offshoot of sorts from Neturei Karta, has launched a massive public relations campaign that will eventually target the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Arab cities and towns in Israel proper.
According to a report in the Jerusalem Post based on a report by the haredi news website Kikar HaShabbat, the campaign – which is reportedly being funded and organized by the Satmar hasidic sect which largely makes up the membership of Torah True Jews – is meant to tell potential Palestinian terrorists that they should not murder haredim because haredim are anti-Zionist and do not visit the Temple Mount.
Palestinian Muslims often believe Israel is planning to take over the Temple Mount, which Muslims know as Haram Al Sharif, the Holy Enclosure. Israel has repeatedly denied this claim, although there are relatively small groups of primarily Zionist Orthodox Jews who actively seek to restore Jewish prayer rights and even Temple sacrifices on the Temple Mount, once the site of the two destroyed Judean Temples, and now the home to two major Muslim shrines, including the Dome of the Rock.
The Temple Mount is under the day-to-day administrative control of the Muslim Waqf which is administered by Jordan. The mount itself is in Jerusalem’s Old City at the base of the Jewish Quarter and continues north well into the Muslim Quarter, all of which has been under Israeli control since the 1967 Six Day War.
Torah True Jews’ ads will be published in or broadcast by Israeli-Arab and Palestinian media and is already active in the haredi community. Streets in haredi neighborhoods with large anti-Zionist hasidic populations have reportedly had Yiddish-language large banners and pashkvils (large wall posters) seeking financial and moral support the campaign.
Badatz Yerushalayim, the Orthodox religious court of the anti-Zionist haredi umbrella organization Edah Haredit, reportedly endorsed the campaign and called on followers to donate money to it.
Badatz Yerushalayim itself makes most of its money on the kosher supervision services it provides, including supervising many Israeli-made food products that are exported to the US and Great Britain.
A similar claim – that Palestinian terrorist shouldn't kill haredim because haredim don't visit the Temple Mount – was made by an editor at the haredi Mishpacha Magazine late last month, sparking widespread outrage among non-haredi Israelis and even among some haredim themselves.
