Motti Yogev, who came the Muslim Quarter office with other members of HaBayit HaYehudi for a meeting of the party’s Knesset members and their aides as show of force, saw the elderly woman in Muslim garb walking down the street with the help of a cane. Yogev began shouting at her, screaming that this public street is for "Jews only" and telling the elderly woman to “go to the grave!” meaning that she should drop dead or be murdered.

Member of Knesset Moti Yogev of the right-wing Zionist Orthodox HaBayit HaYehudi Party tried to physically assault an elderly Palestinian woman in the Muslim Quarter of Jerusalem's Old City last week. The attack took place near a spot where two Jews had only recently been killed in a terror attack and where Yogev had just opened an office in response, Haaretz reported based on a report by Israel’s Channel 2 News.
Yogev, who came the Muslim Quarter office with other members of HaBayit HaYehudi for a meeting of the party’s Knesset members and their aides as show of force, saw the elderly woman in Muslim garb walking down the street with the help of a cane. Yogev began shouting at her, screaming that this public street is for "Jews only" and telling the elderly woman to “go to the grave!” meaning that she should drop dead or be murdered.
“You will not pass here, Jews only!” Yogev screamed.
The woman responded with curses and Yogev attempted to block the woman and assault her but police intervened. Yogev pushed and shoved the police as right-wing Zionist Orthodox onlookers cheered him and sang Am Yisrael Chai.
“She mustn’t shout here!” Yogev warned police.
No Jewish onlookers protested Yogev’s actions and Yogev was not arrested.
HaBayit HaYehudi head, Education Minister Naftali Bennett, attended that Muslim Quarter party meeting.
“I came to the Old City to be with the residents and met determined residents, but strong feelings of imperilment in some alleyways and streets. We’re here and we came to tell the Old City residents – we’re with you. Abu Mazen [Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas] stands with the Islamic Movement that leads incitement about the Temple Mount, and calls for the release of murderous terrorists from jail. I say clearly – forget about it. No more terrorists will be released from Israeli jails. The principle that guides us now on this street in the Old City is the same as it is on Ibn Gvirol Street in Tel Aviv. No spitting, no shouting, no harassment, no stone throwing and no fire bombs. A zero-tolerance policy [for Palestinian disrespect toward Jews and Palestinian attacks on Jews],” Bennett said.
