Wave Of Anti-Jewish Terror In Israel Caused By Non-Kosher Meat, Haredi Rabbi Says

The cause of the recent wave of anti-Jewish violence and stabbings in Israel is simple: non-kosher meat.
So says Israel’s very own revivalist ‘mega-church’ Yemeni outreach rabbi, Amnon Yitzhak, who has long been controversial for the large tent meetings he holds to convert secular Jews to his brand of haredi Judaism.
According to a report in Arutz Sheva, earlier today Yitzhak told the haredi news website Kikar HaShabbat that non-kosher meat was literally killing Jews.
“Eating foods that are not permissible – not kosher – kills, and that has been what has been killing our people now,” Yitzhak said, noting that the first sin in the Bible’s version of world history is the consumption of forbidden fruit by Adam and Eve. “People have asked why these stabbings are happening now,” Yitzhak explained. “I told them that it appears that the ritual slaughterers are using knives that are not properly prepared for kosher slaughter.”
According to halakha (Orthodox Jewish law), slaughter knives must be surgically sharp and their cutting edges can have no nicks, no matter how minor. This makes the slaughter as painless as possible without anesthesia or stunning.
“This will be a year of great decision and uncertainty for Israel,” Yitzhak continued. “If we do not repent, we will certainly be subject to divine judgment. What kind of judgment? The judgment of the knives, with God putting knives on us because of the sin of the knives of the slaughterers. If we eat meat from knives that are not ritually fit, we are stabbed with knives that are fit for murder. Perhaps the Jews will wake up – but if not we will require another 'lesson,' perhaps a more serious lesson in terror – with buses and cars exploding.”
