It was a happy day in the Skvere hasidic village of New Square, New York yesterday as the arsonist who tried to murder a village dissident and his entire sleeping family, including small children, was released from prison after serving only 3-1/2 years of an already drastically reduced 7-year sentence. Skvere hasidim danced and sang and staged large communal celebrations to celebrate the early release of Shaul Spitzer, who was the Skvere Rebbe's servant when he tried to firebomb Aron Rottenberg and Rottenberg's house about 4:30 am on Lag Ba'Omer 2010.
