Rabbi Zvi Hirsh Telsner resigned as the top rabbi at Chabad's Melbourne Yeshivah Centre over one month ago after again being caught harassing and verbally attacking a victim of child sex abuse But over the holidays that just concluded, Telsner reportedly acted as the Chabad flagship's top rabbi in every way – just as if his resignation had never happened, just as if it might have been faked by Chabad to lessen the legal pressure against it caused by decades of covering up child sex abuse and persecuting child sex abuse victims.

A local Melbourne source writes:
…[Telsner] sits in his regular seat with his private lectern in the aisle, he strides around the Synagogue with the same "I am boss" body language and issues instructions to anybody he deems acting incorrectly.
He still has his office, that never changed.
He has now given his first sermon since standing down. The sermon he gave was on our Jewish Holiday of Shmeni Atzeret. It was not a controversial sermon.
In my estimation the vast majority of community accept him and indeed have no issues with him.
That being the case, at least in my estimation I can no longer continue to hold on to the hope that the community will come to its senses.
