A well-known Jerusalem haredi rabbi who has not yet been publicly identified was arrested in his home Wednesday night after allegedly throwing bleach in the face of a police officer.
The officer had responded to a call about a fight at that address, Arutz Sheva reported, and was hit in the face with bleach allegedly thrown by the rabbi.
The police officer, who has also not been named, was taken by paramedics to the Shaarei Tzedek Hospital and is listed in light condition.
Update 8:15 pm CDT – Behadrei Haredim is reporting that the rabbi is Aharon Ramati, who allegedly runs a haredi cult. But the Behadrei Haredim story isn't loading right now due to coding/server error, so there are no details past Ramati's name, taken from the link on Beharei Haredim's homepage, to report at this time.
