Sa'ad Dawabsheh has died.
Dawabsheh, a Palestinian, was mortally injured last week when two assailants – believed to be Orthodox Jewish terrorists linked to the alleged terror organization headed by Rabbi Meir Kahane’s grandson Meir Ettinger – hurled firebombs into his home in the West Bank Palestinian village of Douma in the middle of the night, killing his 18-month-old son Ali and seriously injuring all three remaining family members.
The 32-year-old Dawabsheh, who searched for his tiny son Ali in the flames and smoke but was unable to find him in the chocking darkness, had burns over 80% of his body. Dawabsheh died early Saturday and was buried next to his tiny son, Ali.
Thousands of people attended his funeral in Douma Saturday afternoon, Ha'aretz reported.
Dawabsheh had been on life support in the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba since the attack. His wife and 4-year-old son are still in serious condition and their burns and other injuries are reportedly life-threatening.
