Mikvah Voyeur Rabbi Barry Freundel Released From “Solitary Confinement,” Victim's Husband Says

According to Jeffery Shulevitz, the husband of Emma Shulevitz, who is one of Rabbi Barry Freundel's victims, Freundel has been released from segregation (solitary confinement) in the DC Jail and was given a prison job – teaching GED classes to inmates.
Freundel – who is serving 6-1/2 years for secretly video-recording more than 100 naked women as they individually prepared to immerse in the mikvah (ritual bath) next to his Modern Orthodox Washington, DC synagogue – was put into segregation after he and and his attorneys claimed he had been threatened by other inmates.
It is not clear if Freundel was released because he asked to be or if he was taken out of segregation because the jail independently decided to do it.
Shulevitz wrote an article, first published on FailedMessiah.com, arguing that Freundel should be taken out of "solitary confinement" because "solitary confinement" is a form of torture.
