One of the assailants, who lives in the haredi city of Bnei Brak, allegedly wrote and and distributed a letter setting out the alleged “necessity” of attacking both non-Jewish institutions like the church and the “necessity” to attack non-Jewish people, as well. Three suspects have been indicted for their alleged roles the arson attack last month on the Church of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes, the Times of Israel reported. The arson attack caused heavy damage to the church and lightly injured two people there.
Yinon Reuveni, 20, and Yehuda Asraf, 19, were indicted yesterday. Moshe Orbach 24, from the haredi city of Bnei Brak, was indicted today.
Orbach allegedly wrote and and distributed a letter setting out the alleged “necessity” of attacking both non-Jewish institutions like the church and the “necessity” to attack non-Jewish people, as well. Orbach’s letter contains practical advice on how to carry out these attacks.
Two other suspects have been arrested for their alleged roles in the arson attack against the church but have not yet been charged.
The assailants spray-painted a line from the Aleynu prayer, which is recited at the end of every daily, Shabbat and holiday prayer service. “False idols will be smashed,” the line reads.
