Population and Immigration Authority has already confirmed that asylum seekers from Eritrea and Sudan will now be deported without their consent. Those who refuse to agree to this “voluntary” deportation will be imprisoned at the Saharonim Prison indefinitely. It was this threat that caused the murdered African asylum seekers to leave Israel, and that got them murdered.

According to the Hotline for Refugees and Migrants, three Eritrean asylum seekers who were pushed out of Israel by the government during the past year have been murdered by ISIS in Libya.
The three African asylum seekers were likely kidnapped with a group of Christian Ethiopians who were then executed by ISIS, which reportedly released a gruesome video of the execution Sunday, Ha’aretz reported.
At least one of the three asylum seekers, identified only by the initial “T,” was reportedly held in the Holot detention center in the Negev desert.
He left Israel after the government pressured him to do so and told him his life would be better in the unnamed African country he would be sent to.
He allegedly was sent to Rwanda where, despite promises from Israel, the African asylum seekers are not really accepted. A relative said he went from there to Sudan and then from there to Libya. But he was not able to stay there and tried to get to Europe by boat.
"I understood that the boat was returned to Libya where [the asylum seekers on it] were arrested. Rumors have it that the extreme Islamic group [ISIS] snatched them from the jail itself.…[The Israeli Government] told him he would be better off if he flies [back to Africa in Israel’s questionable and likely illegal coerced resettlement program]. I asked him not to [leave Israel]. He didn't tell us he had signed [the papers committing] to leave,” his relative said. Many African asylum seekers illegally detained in Holot were told by the government that if they did not leave Israel, they would be transferred to a maximum security Israeli prison and held there indefinitely. That threat is also illegal, but the governments of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have repeatedly made it anyway in an attempt to keep non-Jewish refugees out of Israel.
On the eve of Passover, Israel’s Interior Ministry’s Population and Immigration Authority confirmed a report in Ha’aretz last month that it intends to deport Eritrean and Sudanese asylum seekers to unnamed African countries without their consent – a violation of international law.
Ha’aretz reported the unnamed countries are likely Uganda and Rwanda, where about 1,500 African asylum seekers have already been deported by Israel after being coerced to sign statements claiming the deportations were consensual and voluntary. was voluntary.

Although the vast majority of these African asylum seekers qualify for refugee status under international law, Israel has refused to grant it. Instead, it harasses, imprisons and deports them, drawing widespread condemnation from refugee aid and human rights groups outside and inside of Israel.
