Top Haredi Rabbi Hospitalized In Serious Condition

The 101-year-old top posek (decisor of halakha, Orthodox Jewish law) for hasidic communities worldwide is hospitalized in serious condition on respirator.

The top posek (decisor of halakha, Orthodox Jewish law) for hasidic communities worldwide is hospitalized in serious condition, Yeshiva World reported.

101-year-old Rabbi Shmuel HaLevi Wosner, author of Shevet HaLevi and the rosh yeshiva (dean) of the Yeshiva Chochmei Lublin in Bnei Brak, was rushed to the Mayanei Hayeshua Hospital there on Thursday night.

His condition has deteriorated since then and Wosner is reportedly sedated and on a respirator.

The public is asked to pray for Shmuel HaLevi the son of Rochel.
