The Central Election Committee issued an emergency order to the Sefardi haredi Shas Party-linked Kol Chai Radio to stop airing Shas campaign ads and propaganda on election day in violation of the law. The Shas-controlled radio station responded by ignoring the order and running the illegal campaign ads and material anyway.
Shas-Linked Haredi Radio Station Violates Law, Direct Central Elections Committee Order, And Illegally Campaigns On Election Day

After the rival Sefardi haredi and right-wing Yachad Party complained, the chairman of the Central Election Committee Justice Salim Jubran issued an emergency order to the Sefardi haredi Shas Party-linked Kol Chai Radio to stop airing Shas campaign ads and propaganda on election day in violation of the law.
Kol Chai Radio reportedly responded by ignoring the official order. Avi Rosen, who manages Kol Chai Radio, intentionally and flagrantly disregarded the CEC's order and continued to air Shas campaign propaganda anyway in violation of the law.
The CEC is considering sanctioning Kol Chai Radio as a result, but Israel’s toothless election law has such small sanctions for violations – even flagrant illegal violations like this one – that whatever fine or penalty the CEC might issue is a small price to pay for the votes Shas essentially stole violating the law, which forbids campaigning on election day.
