Israel’s state prosecutor has reportedly refused to allow former Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Israel Yona Metzger to go Europe for a family celebration citing strong fears Metzger will justice if he’s allowed to leave the country.
Metzger – who currently faces fraud, bribery, public corruption, conspiracy, money laundering and tax evasion charges – offered to post a large bond, but prosecutors believe he would have forfeited that money and run away.
