200 Disruptive Breslov Hasidim Refuse To Leave Holiday Park In Holland, Park Threatens Eviction

A group of about 200 Breslov hasidim are refusing to leave the Zealand holiday park in Heinkenszand, the Netherlands, the Dutch publication PZC reported.
The hasidim are followers of Rabbi Eliezer Berland, the Shuvu Banim Breslov leader wanted in Israel for alleged sex crimes against female followers – including at least one minor. Berland has been on the run for more than two years but was arrested in September in Amsterdam’s international airport on an international arrest warrant.
A Dutch court ruled last month that Berland can be extradited to Israel.
Berland is appealing that ruling to the Netherland’s Supreme Court.
Berland’s followers behavior over Purim at the holiday park was so out of control the park asked them leave. The hasidim refused to do so, and since Purim there have been frequent noise complaints about the hasidim from neighbors.
As a result, the holiday park wants to go to court to get permission to evict them.
Friday, park management spoke with the leaders of the hasidim who promised the park management they would all leave no later than Monday morning 10 am.
But the hasidim claim to have found no other place to live, and therefore they refused to leave the park.
Hasidim say they rental contract runs until the end of March, and threatened to go to court to block any eviction.
The hasidim have been staying at the holiday park since Saturday, February 28.
