Simcha Rosemblatt was allegedly driving recklessly and without a valid license when he ran over Raul Leone-Vasquez.

Police have criminally charged a Lakewood, New Jersey haredi driver who struck and killed a man in Brooklyn last month, the Daily News reported.

Sixty-year-old Simcha Rosemblatt (the name also appears as “Rosenblatt”) ran over 27-year-old Raul Leone-Vasquez as he crossed Bay Parkway at Bath Avenue on Dec. 28 in the crosswalk.

Leone-Vasquez died in Lutheran Medical Center two days later.

Rosemblatt remained at the scene and did not flee.

He was charged with failing to exercise due care and driving without a license.
