“I responded in anger to what I believed were inappropriate comments by Ronn Torossian and I withdraw any comments that were hurtful.”

Alan Dershowitz and the 5WPR CEO Ronn Torossian issued a joint kiss-and-make-up statement today, apparently ending their fight over whether or not Dershowitz should be defended from his critics in the Jeffrey Epstein underage sex affair simply because Dershowitz is a major defender of Israel. (Torossian says it isn't an Israel issue at all. Dershowitz attacked him for that and tried top smear him.)
Here's the key part as posted by the New York Observer:
Alan Dershowitz: “I responded in anger to what I believed were inappropriate comments by Ronn Torossian and I withdraw any comments that were hurtful.”
Ronn Torossian: “Alan Dershowitz has worked his entire life for Jewish interests and his deep love for Jews and Israel is clear.”
And then together, “While we have political differences, we agree that both of us have legitimate points of view and demonization is inappropriate,” said Alan Dershowitz and Ronn Torossian.
Who brokered this truce?
The Observer says it was Rabbi Avi Weiss, who is Torossian's rabbi and who is also close to Dershowitz.
None of this may matter, though. It seems many of Dershowitz's claims about his lack of participation in the Epstein affair may not be completely true, and Dershowitz may soon have much more to worry about than Torossian. All those years of Dershowitz smears of his clients' victims and of prosecutors – especially federal prosecutors – could soon come back to bite him. And I can think of dozens of prosecutors who would love to see that happen.
