Roy Naim, a Brooklyn-based 30-year-old Orthodox Sefardi immigration reform activist associated with Orthodox organizations for sick children, was convicted Wednesday on federal child porn charges.
According to a brief report in the Daily News, Naim could serve at least 15 to 30 years in prison after which he would likely be deported to Israel.
Naim is in the US illegally and was featured in a Time Magazine immigration reform cover story in June 2012 titled “We are Americans.”
Naim purchased at least three illegal child porn videos online of a 15-year-old boy performing a sex act.
