Agri Star, now formally known as SHF Holdings, whose primary owner is haredi mega donor Hershy Friedman, lost its appeal of a court ruling that found it has no right to use a deepwater well owned by the Nevel Properties bankruptcy. SHF bought Agriprocessors after the company's bankruptcy, renamed it Agri Star, and thought the well use was included in the sale. Nevel's bankruptcy disagreed. Nevel Properties was the Rubashkin family's real estate arm which owned many properties in tiny Postville, Iowa, where the family also owned the corrupt Agriprocessors glatt kosher slaughterhouse.
