Satmar hasidim are trying to take over the tiny 420-person New York State Village of Bloomingburg which until a few months ago had no known hasidic residents at all. The list is divided between those now-disqualified voters who tried to vote (likely voter fraud) and registered voters now-disqualified who did not try to vote (many moved away before the referendum, etc.) Note the number of apparent hasidim in the first group. And then there's the little matter of Modern Orthodox developer Shalom Lamm.
Lamm, his family and about 100 hasidim were caught attempting to vote in a different village election earlier this year. A judge tossed out their votes. The FBI raided Lamm's office in the village and his properties about the same time, and he is thought to be the object of an FBI probe. And now this list appears to show Lamm may have committed voter fraud.
According to the list, Shalom Lamm has been registered to vote in Bloomingburg since 2012 – even though he claimed in an unrelated court filing in December 2013 to be a legal resident of West Hemstead, New York – located many miles away from Bloomingburg. If Lamm voted in both locations during this time period, it would seem to be voter fraud and would then potentially be both a state and federal crime.
