In a new letter, Rabbi Yechiel Babad defends himself against claims that he accepted a bribe from the Bobov 48 faction. Babad sat on the beit din (religious court) that ruled in Bobov 48's favor and against its rival faction in the decade-long Bobov hasidic succession battle, Bobov 45. Babad also says he knew from the beginning that Bobov 45 would reject the beit din't ruling against it.
