Jerusalem’s secular mayor, Nir Barkat, was at the wedding of one of his aides, who is haredi. While there, he greeted a Gur (Gerrer) hasid by kissing him on the cheeks.
Israel’s former Deputy Minister of Health, Rabbi and Member of Knesset Yaakov Litzman, himself a Gur hasid, was standing a couple feet away and immediately lashed out at Barkat for doing so.

So when Barkat kissed the man’s cheeks, Litzman immediately attacked Barkat.
Barkat, however, was not cowed by Litzman.
"What do you mean, it's forbidden? What are they, Muslims?" Barkat shot back.
