Man Killed While Building Sukkah In Haredi City

A man was killed in the haredi West Bank settlement of Modi’in Illit tonight as he was building his sukkah on a sixth floor balcony from which he fell, landing on a balcony two floors below.

A man was killed in the haredi West Bank settlement of Modi’in Illit tonight as he was building his sukkah on a sixth floor balcony from which he fell, landing on a balcony two floors below.

VIN News reported that United Hatzalah medics tried to save the man, who was reportedly in his 30s. He was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

United Hatzalah reportedly warned sukkah-builders to be careful and to follow safety rules as they prepare for the upcoming Sukkot (Tabernacles) holiday, which begins Wednesday evening.
