A 25-year-old man faces child sexual abuse charges after he tried to lure a 6-year-old boy into a vacant room in a local Ramapo, New York synagogue.

A 25-year-old haredi man faces attempted child sexual abuse charges after he tried to lure a 6-year-old boy into a vacant room in a local Ramapo, New York synagogue, the Journal News reported.

Abraham Widenbaum, who resides in a Jewish group home on Hillside Terrace, allegedly used candy to lure the boy from the yard of his home to the synagogue, Ramapo police said yesterday.

Widenbaum reportedly faces one felony count of first-degree attempted sexual abuse and one misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child.
