A 19-year-old New Square man was arrested on drug charges Wednesday during a traffic stop at about 6:20 am in Ramapo, New York.
Pinches Surkis allegedly had psychedelic mushrooms, cocaine, prescription drugs, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and packaging material in a rental car with Massachusetts plates, the Mid-Hudson News reported.
He was pulled over by Ramapo police as he exited the hasidic village of New Square because the car reportedly reeked of marijuana.
Surkis was reportedly charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Police impounded the rental car.
In 2011, the then 17-year-old Surkis was arrested for allegedly luring non-Jewish Hispanic women who worked in or near New Square as domestics and cleaning ladies into his car where he then stole their money and other valuables and tried to sexually assault them.
