Terrorists from Gaza infiltrated Israel Monday morning in the area between Kibbutz Erez and Kibbutz Nir Am near the northen Gaza Strip. The IDF ordered residents of the area to remain indoors and lock their doors. The IDF also reportedly closed all roads south of Ashkelon and has killed at least 10 of the infiltrators.

Terrorists from Gaza infiltrated Israel Monday morning in the area between Kibbutz Erez and Kibbutz Nir Am near the northen Gaza Strip.
The IDF ordered residents of the area to remain indoors and lock their doors. The IDF also reportedly closed all roads south of Ashkelon.
The terrorists infiltrated in two cells through a tunnel in from Gaza.
The Israel Air Force opened fired on the first cell immediately after it was identified by IDF surveillance, Ha’aretz reported, and scored a direct hit.
The second cell reportedly fired an anti-tank missile at an army vehicle. The IDF returned fire and killed approximately 10 of the terrorists.
The IDF is reportedly still combing the area for more terrorists.
An unknown number of IDF soldiers were wounded in the fighting.
Update 2:43 am CDT – Ha'aretz is now reporting that roads in area of the infiltration have reopened – except Route 4 from Yad Mordechai Junction to Nativ Ha'asarah. Residents are also permitted to leave their homes, and the threat from the terror cell is officially over.
