IDF: First Israeli Soldier To Die In New Gaza Conflict Was Killed By Friendly Fire

The initial IDF investigation into the death last night of 20-year-old Eitan Barak has found that Barak was killed by friendly fire from an Israeli tank.

The initial IDF investigation into the death last night of 20-year-old Eitan Barak has found that Barak was killed by friendly fire from an Israeli tank, Ha'aretz reported.

The IDF reportedly believes that a tank from another brigade fired the round at the Nahal Brigade, where Barak was a commander.

The accident reportedly took place in the northern Gaza Strip.
