"We are pleased that apparently the Sullivan county board of elections has issued their report that upholds the voter registration challenges made by Anita Hoppe with supporting affadvaits. We are confident therefore that the election will be decided in our favor and look forward to taking office on April 7th…"
The disqualified votes are primarily Satmar hasidim who moved (or, more often, pretended to move) to Bloomingburg in the past few weeks so they could take over the tiny 420 person village and turn it all into a Satmar hasidic shtetl developer Shalom Lamm is building there.
The Rural Heritage Party of Mamakating writes:
We are pleased that apparently the Sullivan county board of elections has issued their report that upholds the voter registration challenges made by Anita Hoppe with supporting affadvaits. We are confident therefore that the election will be decided in our favor and look forward to taking office on April 7th and restoring law and order to the village of Bloomingburg. Our faith in America, in the Board of Elections, and in the people of Bloomingburg, has never been stronger.
If this is accurate, Lamm will probably file another lawsuit, or the disqualified voters may file a lawsuit.
Either way, this could drag on for quite some time.
