Lev Tahor Cult Members Flee Canada

Nine members of the haredi Lev Tahor cult have been detained at an airport in Trinidad and Tobago after fleeing Canada.

Nine members of the haredi Lev Tahor cult have been detained at an airport in Trinidad and Tobago, BlackburnNews.com reported moments ago.

An unnamed Canadian Immigration official confirmed that three adults and six children took a West Jet flight from Toronto on Monday in an attempt to flee to Mexico, but were denied entry.

The group refused to return to Canada and is reportedly being detained in a private room at the Trinidad and Tobago airport.

The official expects the group will be sent back to Canada by Friday.

Meanwhile, the appeal of the matter of 14 Lev Tahor children ordered to be returned from Ontario to returned to Quebec and placed in foster care is being heard today in an Ontario court. It is unknown at this time whether the Lev Tahor members who fled are connected to this court case.
