Hit And Run Leaves Haredi Yeshiva Student Hospitalized In Jerusalem

There was a hit an run accident Sunday night in Jerusalem involving a driver from America and a haredi yeshiva student, Behadrei Haredim reported.
The accident happened on Malchei Yisrael Street.
An 18-year-old haredi yeshiva student pedestrian was struck and injured.
The driver – reportedly a Jewish tourist from New York (who some claim is a prominent Satmar hasid) – fled the scene but was caught by a traffic police officer in Kiryat Belz.
Hatzolah medics and Magen David Adom EMTs provided emergency onsite medical care to the victim, and MDA evacuated him to to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in the city, where he is reportedly listed in mild to moderate condition.
