NY1's Errol Lewis reports that Brooklyn D.A. Charles J. Hynes promised to stop using this campaign flyer that says challenger Ken Thompson hired former Brooklyn Democratic Party boss and convicted felon Clarence Norman to run his campaign, because there is no credible evidence that it is true. (The only 'evidence' Hynes really has is the shaky testimony of his own son.) But despite Hynes' promise, the Hynes campaign handed out the flyer today in a church.
From his claim after losing the Democratic primary in a landslide to Ken Thompson that he would not run as a Republican or a Conservative, to his repeated lies about his Kol Tzedek project and the number of haredi pedophiles it supposedly prosecuted, Hynes has lied with regularity. But his loss to Thompson and his switchover to the Republican Party and his lies surrounding it have put Hynes under scrutiny he has never before faced. And he isn't doing very well:
