The man these synagogues are warning about is probably Akiva Roth, pictured at right, who you can read about in several posts below.

Dear Friends:
Due to the numerous emails we have received I wanted to clarify that the individual referred to in the email below from our esteemed Rabbis is not a member of CAT.
Should you have any other questions, please contact Rabbi Goldin or the other Rabbis listed on the letter.

Dear Friends:
As you may know, revelations of past impropriety have surfaced concerning a member of the broader Englewood community who frequents a number of area synagogues.
It is important that we respond appropriately- on the one hand, with an eye towards the protection of all; on the other hand, without jumping to conclusions solely based upon media accounts.
The individual in question has voluntarily offered not to attend any of our synagogues this Shabbat, in order to give the community the time it needs to consult with experts, research the issues, and respond appropriately.
We will keep you apprised. May Hashem grant us the wisdom to deal with this and other complex situations properly.
