I was sent the following message last night by a reader who received it from a list or group s/he belongs to:
The convicted child molester "dym" is getting out of jail tomorrow and Chaverim of Rockland just sent out this text.
"The Kabolas Ponim [Welcome Home Party] for our Chaver [friend; member], Unit 29 will take place 6 Laura La. Wesley. Tom. Night 8p-10p @ our gracious host unit 4s' home. Pls contact 44 or 64 re: $."
And, sure enough, Dym was released this morning, even though the prison's website did not show a release date even as late as 2 am this morning CDT.
However, its automatic alert system that sends emails or texts to people who sign up to follow a particular inmate, sent out the following email 15 minutes ago:
This e-mail is to inform you that SHMUEL DYM with county identification number 64485 has been released from custody as of 10/3/2013. The release reason is: Sentence served. For more information, contact Rockland County Jail. The telephone number is (845)638-5400.

Dym violated his 10 year probation-only sentence and was sentenced to 6 months in jail in mid-June. That means he served less than four months.
Understand what Dym did. He sexually abused children. But even though he did so, he was given a sweetheart plea deal by Rockland County's arguably corrupt District Attorney Thomas Zugibe. An equally ethically-challenged judge agreed to that deal. And, when Dym violated it, that same judge sentenced Dym to 6 months in jail. But Dym, the child rapist, walked free after serving less than four months.
Dym was offered the no-jail sentence by the prosecution after the children’s family were threatened and harassed by hasidim in a successful attempt to dissuade the boys’ parents from allowing them to testify against Dymn in court, a fact that prosecutors openly admit – even though they have done nothing to bring the hasidim who made those threats to justice.
And now Dym, a Level 2 sex offender who should be in prison, walks free again. And Chaverim of Rockland County is throwing him a welcome home party.
Dym's jail record from about 2 am this morning:
