The Bobov hasidic movement bans women from entering sukkah, apparently for 'modesty' reasons. This is a "holy camp," the sign says, and "it is strictly forbidden for women to enter the Sukkah at all times." This hasidic edict – which has a lesser status than a halakha, Jewish law, and a much lesser status than a Torah commandment (which sitting in the sukkah is) – deprives women of the ability to fulfill the Torah-based mitzvah of sukkah.
