The scandal-plagued Brooklyn District Attorney Charles J. Hynes has allegedly just hired anti-Zionist PR man Yossi Gestetner, who has represented then-accused (and now convicted) pedophile Nechmya Weberman's defense committee and leading members of the New Square hasidic community after the arson and attempted murder of New Square dissident Aron Rottenberg and his entire family by a personal assistant of the Sqvarer Rebbe.
Gestetner's new title is allegedly special advisor for Hynes's campaign.
Gestetner was previously briefly hired by the New York State Republican Party as its Jewish liaison but was quickly compelled to resign from his post after Republican leaders found out about Gestetner's anti-Zionism and his defense of hasidic pedophiles after an exposé last year by Steven I. Weiss of the Jewish Channel.
I sent Gestetner and Hynes' campaign emails asking for confirmation of Gestetner's hire. I'll post the responses when they are available.
Update 3:47 pm CDT – Yossi Gestetner tells me that he was not offered a job with the campaign or with Hynes' office, and he was not hired by either.
Hynes' campaign has still not responded.
Update 7:48 pm CDT Friday 8-2-2013 – Hynes' campaign spokesman George Arzt finally responded at 4:21 pm CDT on Friday 8-2-2013.
Here is Arzt's answer in its entirety:
This is untrue fabricated erroneous wrong and deceitful.
