One of the three children who nearly drowned last weekend in a Chabad-Lubavitch bungalow colony and at a Karlin-Stolin hasidic summer camp has passed away, Yeshiva World reported.
A 22-month old and a 3-year-old crawled under a pool gate in a Chabad bungalow colony, Wellsprings, located at the former Cold-Spring Bungalows in Monticello, New York, Saturday.
Residents reportedly heard the 3-year-old screaming, and jumped over the fence to save the two children. But the 22-month-old was on the bottom of the pool in cardiac arrest.
He was reportedly airlifted to the Westchester Trauma Center in very critical condition. He did not improve and remained on life support until he passed away late this afternoon.
A 14-year-old yeshiva student who was rescued from a swimming pool in the Karlin Stolin Camp has now been released from the hospital.
