Just hours before falling, Yosef publicly cursed those who are trying to get haredim to serve in Israel's military. “…Pray to the Holy One, Blessed be He…Enact vengeance upon them.… pour out your wrath, your anger and your
indignation, pursue them in your fury and destroy them, lower them into
the depths of Hell,” Yosef reportedly said.

Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, the 92-year-old founder and spiritual leader of the Sfardi haredi Shas political party, was rushed to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital after falling at home earlier today, Ynet reported.
Yosef reportedly suffered contusions to the lower part of his body, and is in intense pain. A doctor who examined Yosef at the scene of the accident reportedly believes Yosef may have broken a bone in the fall.
Earlier this year, Yosef fell in his synagogue. The cause was later determined to be a small stroke.
Today, Yosef apparently fell as he was making his way to that same synagogue which adjoins his home.
He is reportedly suffering from intense pain but is fully conscious.
If Yosef broke his hip, the fall could be quite serious. Many elderly people never recover from broken hips because the pain is extremely intense and often hard to manage, eventually causing their body systems to shut down. Broken bones are also serious because they can cause blood clots which can in turn cause strokes or heart attacks.
Yosef is reportedly listed in stable condition.
Last night at his weekly public Torah lecture, Yosef attacked those Israelis who are trying to get haredim to serve in the military and publicly cursed them.
“[Regarding] our enemies and those who hate us, and who have risen against us…Pray to the Holy One, Blessed be He, to disturb their suggestions and spoil their thoughts. Enact vengeance upon them. We ask the Holy One, Blessed be He, pour out your wrath, your anger and your indignation, pursue them in your fury and destroy them, lower them into the depths of Hell,” Yosef reportedly said just a few hours before falling.
