Moses "Mark" Stern – the shady Satmar real estate developer cum fraudster who is the cooperating witness in the federal corruption cases against Sen. Malcolm Smith, Queens City Councilman Daniel Halloran and GOP borough bosses – rented a private island in the Florida Keys and took a two-week vacation there, DNAinfo reported.
Stern recently took his wife and kids to Melody Key where a stay costs $10,000 per person per week.
Amenities reportedly include a large house that sleeps 10 people, a hot tub, a heated pool and a catamaran.
Stern was reportedly spotted on Melody Key’s beach, and staff there gushed about the fraudster’s wonderful behavior.
He claims to be bankrupt, and owes $126 million to Citigroup from a lone it issued for what turned out to be a failed and corrupt real estate deal.
Stern, who wore a wire during the corruption sting, pleaded guilty to unspecified charges in March.
His case is sealed.
