Two Haredim From Telz Stone Busted For Drug Smuggling

Two men from the haredi town Kiryat Ye’arim, which is also known as Telz Stone, were arrested yesterday for smuggling drugs, the Israeli news organization Mako reports. The two were allegedly caught redhanded trying to smuggle hashish into into Israel from Egypt.
Police monitoring the border fence near the Be’er Milka area of the Negev not far from Rahat spotted two suspicious men. Police followed them, watched them get a package and and arrested them only to be shocked that the two men, one 28-years-old and the other 46, were haredim from Telz Stone.

R. Davidov told Mako.
On the bodies of the two haredim police reportedly found three flat packages of hashish weighing approximately one pound and NIS 4,000 ($1,100). The two men claimed to have purchased the hashish from a resident of one of the Israeli towns neighboring the border with Egypt.
