The 31-year-old Brooklyn native gets her award in San Francisco next month, which I hope means she gets a free trip and a stipend, which could turn into a hell of a lot of fun.
“She writes with authority whether reporting tragic tales of violent crime…or, at the other extreme, the high price of matzo,” Be’chol Lashon’s director Diane Tobin told the Daily News.
“I grew up in Orthodox Brooklyn and Manhattan. People think Hasidim are interesting or weird. No, these are my neighbors,” Weichselbaum said.
