Video: Family Of Satmar Rabbi Busted On Sex Abuse Charges Claims Rabbi Extorted, Charges False

The mother of Rabbi Yoel Malik (pictured at right) denied that her 33-year-old son was a child sexual abuser, saying that he had "nothing to do" with teenage boys. She also alleges that Malik was extorted by a former yeshiva employee she does not name (but who allegedly is Moshe Pinter, who had his own brush with the law over child sex abuse allegations several years ago) for $10,000. Malik refused to pay him and the man allegedly responded by turning Malik over to the police by tipping off an anonymous rape hotline.
