The government lays down the reasons why it believes Agriprocessors former VP Sholom Rubashkin's request for United States Supreme Court intervention in his case should be rejected. Rubashkin is serving a 27-year sentence for fraud and related charges.

Does this mean SCOTUS will turn down Rubashkin's petition?
There's no way to tell with any degree of certainty, and while I think Rubashkin has not met the bar for acceptance, that certainly doesn't mean the Supreme Court will think that.
Quite simply, we'll find out in late September or very early October.
