Neturei Karta, the rabidly anti-Zionist haredi group, went to Ramallah in the Palestinian Authority this week to commemorate the anniversary of the death of Yassir Araft, the former head of the PLO, with Palestinian leaders.
According to Yeshiva World, at this event NK leader Rabbi Yisrael Meir Hirsch said he hoped the Palestinians' unilateral bid for statehood would be recognized by the United Nations, and he later told the haredi website Kikar Shabbat, “I hope that the Zionist State of Israel will disappear from the map entirely. I support the establishment of a Palestinian state on all areas of Israel, not just the pre-1967 borders.”
