This time haredim have banned a haredi magazine published in Yiddish for allegedly causing Jews to go after the ways of non-Jews.
A Blik Magazine is similar to what Life Magazine or Look Magazine used be like 30 years ago. It is almost all pictures, everything from pictures of various hasidic rebbes to pictures of the recent bus bombing in Israel.
A new ban decries A Blik for causing Jews to go after the ways of non-Jews, apparently by spending time looking at pictures rather than studying, and for printing pictures of rebbes alongside pictures of non-Jews, and forbids Jews to buy or read it.
The ban is signed by unnamed principals and teachers from haredi yeshivot and seminaries.
