Agudath Israel Lobbied To Exempt Religious And Private Schools From New Jersey's Anti-Bullying Bill

The bill, which would be "the most extensive anti-bullying bill in the Nation," would have meant an "unprecedented government intrusion into private schools and could have been interpreted to forbid the expression of religious beliefs," Augudah Israel of America claims. Agudah also lobbied against New York's Child Victims' Act and has in th epast opposed mandatory background checks for religious school teachers and workers.
