Is Agri Star For Sale?

And, if it is, can the Rubashkin family or their representatives buy it?

A hot rumor at the kosher food industry's trade show, Kosherfest, held this week in New Jersey, is that Agri Star, the renamed Agriprocessors plant in Postville, Iowa, is for sale – in part, I'm told, because the company is losing large amounts of money.

So, if this rumor is true, can the Rubashkin family or its representatives buy Agri Star?

A message left earlier today for Bob Teig, the spokesman for the US Attorney for the Northern District of Iowa asking that question was not been returned.
