Am-Echad Joins “Project Help”
The people of Haiti are getting much needed support from the Orthodox Jewish Community of Miami Beach. Under the leadership of Mr. Colin Hendrick, a member of the Bal Harbor Shul, which is headed by Rabbi Sholom D. Lipskar, has organized over 250 single light aircraft with help from NRMA CareFlight Association.
CareFlight is dedicated to providing the highest standard of rapid response critical care to the ill and injured. Our specially trained doctors, nurses and paramedics use helicopters, fixed wing aircraft and road ambulances to bring a hospital level of care to our patients.
Mr. Hendrick, President of Smart Metric Corp, left tonight to lead the second round of missions to Haiti. The mission will provide much needed supplies to the suburbs of Haitik, which has not been reached yet by red cross. The mission has set up 20 mini surgery centers around the country.
“This is a holocaust and we must do what we can to save lives” said Hendrick in an emotional appeal for help in donations of medical supplies.
Mark Meyer Appel, President of Am-Echad, is working non-stop in aiding this historic mission. “The conditions are grave and millions will die if we do not help” said Appel.
