YOU CAN HELP A PROMINENT COMMUNITY MEMBERThe Rubashkin family and the members of the Anash community for Pidyon Shivuyim
[Chabad's Rubashkin fundraising and PR task force - anash means the worldwide community of Chabad-Lubavitch adherents; pidyon shivuyim means ransoming captives; Sholom M. Rubashkin is the sole captive that committee helps or has helped]
extend their heartful request to all Anash [members of the worldwide Chabad-Lubavitch community] to join us for special prayers at the Ohel [the grave of the last rebbe of Chabad-Lubavitch, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson] this Monday, January 26th, Rosh Chodesh Shvat [the first day of the Hebrew month of Shvat] at 9:30 a.m. which will correspond to 8:30 a.m. in Iowa when the hearing will begin. Busses have been arranged to leave 770 [Chabad-Lubavitch world headquarters in Brooklyn, New York] at 9:00 a.m. and will return at 11:00 a.m.
If you cannot join us at the Ohel please set aside a few moments in your home, school, or Shul to recite Tehillim [Psalms] and study Torah in the z'chus [merit] of Sholom Mordechai HaLevi Ben Rivkah [Rabbi Sholom M. Rubashkin's Hebrew name followed by the Hebrew name of his mother].
The community of Postville has designated this Sunday, Erev Rosh Chodesh Shvat [the eve of the beginning of the Hebrew month of Shvat] as a Half Day Voluntary Fast Day. The Rubashkin Family asks that anyone who would like to join in to please have in mind on Shabbos [the Sabbath] to fast half a day on Sunday.
We hope and pray that our unified prayers will be accepted on high and that Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin will see a true Geulah [Redemption], and will be given his freedom.
